Papa John’s is gradually twisting things around, and it seems like a new crust will help. Papa John’s signature garlic crust got a whole lot cheesier. It is the first time in the past more than three decades; the pizza chain has rolled out a totally new crust for pizza lovers. It is good news for the people who want something more savory. Garlic Parmesan Crust is the latest arrival in Papa John’s kitchen. Like most things at the pizza chain, garlic is the key, and cheese is like a cherry on the cake. Currently, Papa John’s is touting a garlic Parmesan-flavored crust as it is the pizza chain’s first new flavor-alternative for its original dough. As mentioned above, the crust is baked with Parmesan-Romano cheese with inspiration for its famous garlic sauce.
The latest flavor joins Papa John’s rarely altered menu of crust, which also includes a classic thin-crust. The lineup also offers a choice of a gluten-free crust. Notably, Papa John’s crust selection lacks variety compared to its rivals in the industry. Pizza Hut and Domino’s, on the other hand, provide the option of at least a half dozen different flavors. Paul Fabre, Papa John’s senior Vice president of menu strategy and innovation, said the new crust is a part of the brand’s annual investment of millions of dollars on account of innovation. He said introducing new menu items to market is pretty exciting, particularly as they continue to develop on their heritage of quality ingredients, which customers know and expect. Paul also noted that the company’s garlic sauce has always been a fan favorite.
Developing a new item, along with a determined favor, could assist Papa John’s to extend its customer base. The Garlic Parmesan one-topping pizza is now available at participating locations across the nation. It will cost $10 for the one-topping pizza with promo code CHEESYCRUST by phone, Papa John’s app, or Papajohns.com. Apart from this, one can add Garlic Parmesan crust to any Papa John’s pizza, along with Handcrafted Specialties, and design your pizza.
